Tried and tested - affordable steel

Steel is the material of choice for large structures due to its ease of processing, the elasticity and high load-bearing capacity of its various profile shapes, and its low cost . Bridges, gate systems, and halls are almost unimaginable without steel profiles. In terms of sustainability and cost-effectiveness, steel is unbeatable: the material can be recycled infinitely with minimal energy consumption and without compromising on quality.

Corrosion, however, remains the biggest drawback of conventional steel. However, the enormous demand for CorTen steel in recent years shows that the appearance of rusted steel also has its appeal.

Our ➤ steel range - sheets made to measure:

  • We offer thinner smooth sheets up to 2.0 mm thick in alloy DC01, material number 1.0330 or formerly St12. This is a cold-rolled steel with excellent forming properties, making it suitable for complex shapes such as deep-drawn body parts. The blanks are delivered lightly oiled.
Sheets from 3.0 mm are made of hot-rolled S235JR (material number 1.0038, formerly St37), an unalloyed structural steel with the characteristic dark scale layer.

  • We offer galvanised sheets up to 3.0 mm thick in the alloy DX51 D+Z, cold-rolled and greaseless. This alloy, with the material number 1.0226 or formerly St02 Z, is also a relatively soft, unalloyed, cold-rolled steel that is very suitable for cold forming.

  • Galvanised perforated sheets are available in perforation sizes Rv5-8 and Qg10-15. These sheets are made from galvanised sheets of alloy DX51 D+Z, into which holes are punched. Therefore, corrosion protection is limited.

  • For manhole covers etc. you can also find raw teardrop sheets in 3 and 4 mm thickness made of S235JR.

➤  Bar and section steels:

Please note that the following profiles were manufactured from simple S235JR structural steel, which was hot-rolled into shape. The rolling process results in certain variations, all of which are within the respective standards (EN 10048, 10055, 10056, 10058, 10059, 10060, 10279, DIN 59200). For seam-welded tubes, for example, the wall thickness tolerances are +0/-10%. These are not precision profiles!

  • ➤  Flat Steel Here you can buy flat steel from 20x3 mm to 200x20 mm. These profiles are also colloquially called flat sections, flat iron, or flat bars. Technically speaking, we only refer to flat steel from a material thickness of 5 millimeters, and wide flat steel from a width of over 150 millimeters. The thinner profiles in our range are (strictly speaking) strip steel.

  • ➤  T-bars: Of course, you can also order T-profile steel from us. We cut the material to your specifications with a tolerance of +/- 2 millimeters in length. Our T-profiles or T-irons have rounded edges and transitions. We offer both equal-sided T-profiles according to DIN EN 10055 / DIN 1024 with dimensions from 20x20x3 mm to 140x140x15 mm, and wide-base T-profiles according to DIN EN 1024 (TB) from 40x20x4.5 mm to 120x60x10 mm. This wide-flange special profile also has rounded edges.

  • ➤  U-Profile Here you will find standard U-shaped steel profiles. These steel profiles feature sloped inner flange surfaces, and rounded edges and transitions. These are standard U-shaped profiles (UNP or UPN) according to DIN 1026-1, which we can cut to size for you (cutting tolerance +/- 2 mm). Available dimensions range from 30x15x4 mm to 200x75x8.5 mm.

  • ➤  Angle steel angle brackets or L-profiles according to DIN EN 10056-1. Here you can order equal-leg L-profiles (old DIN 1028) or buy unequal-leg angle irons (DIN 1029). From 20x20x3 mm to 150x150x12 mm, easily configure the length in our steel online shop!

  • Solid material with a ➤  round cross-section is also called round steel. We offer round steel in diameters from 6 mm to 100 mm. You can also purchase solid material with a ➤  square cross-section. This square steel, also called square profile or square iron, is in stock in dimensions from 6x6 mm to 100x100 mm.

  • For seam-welded ➤  round and ➤  square tubes, sheet metal is rolled or folded and welded butt-jointed. You can purchase the following round steel tubes from us: Threaded tubes according to EN 10255 have quite thick walls so that a thread can be cut into them for pipe installations. However, the "threaded tubes" available from us are delivered without a thread ! Railing tubes or construction tubes according to EN 10220 have a thinner wall thickness. You can also order square tubes with a square cross-section (=square tubes according to EN 10219) or rectangular tubes according to EN 10305-5, which you can purchase in many sizes in our online shop.

By the way: If you pick up your steel profiles yourself, you can also buy entire lengths (6 meters)!

I need a very specific profile!

No problem. In addition to a selection of rolled finished profiles, we also offer a special service: We can bend  L-, C-, U-, hat-, Z-, or Z-shaped profiles with a back bend up to 4 mm in material thickness, exactly according to your specifications – with no minimum order quantity! You can configure the profiles precisely with just a few clicks. You can immediately see the final price, add the profiles to your shopping cart, and have them conveniently delivered to your home.

Can you also cut miters?

Yes, it's possible. We can provide profiles up to approximately 100 millimeters in diameter with a 45° miter. Please submit a ➤  inquiry , including the material and angle (preferably with a sketch), as well as the quantity required. Since we charge based on the amount of work involved, the more cuts you purchase, the cheaper the price!

Constructions as desired

We are happy to build railings, stairs, ramps, tanks, brackets, or whatever you need according to your specifications. We look forward to your ➤  inquiry and will work with you to determine how we can best implement your requirements.
