Stainless steel rightfully has an excellent reputation for its corrosion resistance. Think of faucets, containers, thermos flasks, handrails, washing machines, or entire kitchen equipment in the catering industry!

At Metallparadies you can get ➤  custom-cut stainless steel sheets with these surface finishes:

  • Bright rolled : Describes the appearance of sheet metal as it comes out of the rolling mill, without any subsequent polishing or sanding. It is grayish in color, slightly milky, with a distinct metallic sheen. This sheet metal is not foil-coated, so it will suffer scratches from handling. For high aesthetic demands, you should opt for mirror-polished or K240-ground sheet metal.  

  • Mirror-like : This sheet has been polished after rolling, making it significantly more reflective than the bright-rolled material. It is ideal for use as a reflector for lighting installations. However, it does not achieve the brilliance of a real glass mirror. We do not recommend using it as a traffic mirror! The visible side of this sheet is protected with a protective film.

  • K240 : This sheet metal panel is sanded lengthwise with 240-grit abrasive. Upon closer inspection, you'll see fine parallel grooves. The matte finish creates a sophisticated and decorative effect, making it very popular, for example, in the catering industry. The visible side of this sheet is protected with a protective film.

Among our ➤  sheet metal bendings , you'll find angles, L-profiles , U- profiles ,  C-profiles , hat profiles ,  Z-profiles  , and Z-profiles with a back bend , all made to measure. You use our configurator to determine the dimensions of the sides and the length of the profile. Also, specify the visible side so we know whether you need an inside or outside angle. After all, the decorative side should be on the right side!
You can choose the sheet thickness from 0.8 to 4 millimeters.

Our latest addition is ➤  countertop covers made of brushed stainless steel. We manufacture these to exact specifications for commercial kitchens and restaurants. Of course, we are happy to provide your countertop cover with holes and the necessary cutouts for sinks or stovetops.

Is stainless steel magnetic or not?

The most widely used alloy worldwide, including in our company, is 1.4301, which is non- magnetic . Other designations include V2A and AISI 304. The official alloy designation X5CrNi18-10 is often abbreviated to 18/10 in connection with cutlery or pots.

Alloy 1.4016, on the other hand, is magnetic! We offer this material in the form of 0.8 mm thick, mirror-polished sheet metal, which you can use as a writable magnetic board. 1.4016 is also known as X6Cr17, AISI 430, or 18/0.
