Custom made sheet metal

In this category, you'll find all the steel sheets we cut to size for you. You can order raw checkered sheet made from S235JR (1.0038), smooth sheet made from DC01 (1.0330) or S235JR, as well as galvanised smooth sheet or perforated sheet made from DX51D+Z (1.0917).
Each cut is custom made to order. Please carefully examine the sample photos; scratches and tension marks will occur on the sheets during production.

Our custom-made steel sheets are manufactured specifically for you!
Our employees cut the material from large-format sheets. The cutting is done using hydraulic guillotine shears.
The sheet metal hold-down devices on the shears can leave circular marks, especially on thin sheets.
With this type of cutting, thicker sheet metal (from around 5 mm) will twist slightly, meaning the cut piece will no longer lie completely flat. We cannot prevent this and cannot correct it!
If you have configured your sheet with additional holes, we will then drill the desired holes according to your sketch. Here, too, further scratches may occur during center punching and drilling due to handling!
The maximum hole diameter depends on the sheet thickness and can be found in the product description. Holes are not countersunk.

Raw steel sheet, i.e. without protective galvanization, is susceptible to rust . Your sheet metal cut piece may therefore already have some rust film upon delivery.

Our sheet metal types:

  • S235JR: This is a hot-rolled, unalloyed structural steel with good strength and weldability, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The material number is 1.0038; the older designation was St37. Hot-rolled steel has a characteristic oxide layer, the mill scale. This layer, also called "scale," can vary considerably in color and be irregular. We offer S235JR in thicknesses from 3 mm upwards.
  • DC01: a cold-rolled steel used in our production for sheet metal up to 2 mm thick. This steel has no scale layer and therefore exhibits a distinct metallic luster. The sheet is lightly greased and is ideal for forming, such as edging or deep drawing. The material number is 1.0330; the older designation was St12.
  • DX51D+Z: Material number 1.0226 or formerly St02 Z. A relatively soft, unalloyed, cold-rolled steel with a corrosion-inhibiting zinc coating, ideal for cold forming and deep drawing. These sheets are cold-rolled and not greased.

Versions:

  • Smooth sheet: Hot- or cold-rolled, with a relatively smooth surface. Perfect for general construction projects.
  • Galvanised smooth sheet: Similar applications as raw smooth sheet, but more corrosion-resistant due to the zinc layer.
  • Raw steel checker plate: Perfect for manhole covers, access ramps, and so on. The checkered pattern provides good slip resistance, even in wet conditions. The rust layer that forms over time also provides good grip.
  • Perforated sheet metal: These Sendzimir-galvanised sheets are subsequently punched with round or square holes. These sheets are ideal for ventilation or as contact protection.
