Ventilate your workshop, shed, cellar, boiler room or locker; improve air circulation in washrooms, drying rooms, storage cages or garden sheds – all while keeping out rats, mice, martens and other pests. Ideal for passive ventilation or as a ventilation grille in leisure vehicles, or for constructing crate enclosures for flammable gases. Also very useful as a touch guard on heating elements, in front of fans or rotating machinery, shafts, or belt drives. In agriculture, gardening and construction, perforated sheets are often used for making sorting bins.
You’ll also commonly find these sheets as ventilation openings on control cabinets, equipment or server housings. In workshops, they are used as organisers. Mounted slightly away from the wall with suitable hooks, you can neatly store tools. They're also practical in hobby rooms, kitchens for hanging utensils, even as back panels for coat racks with hooks for accessories or as key boards.
“Closed Cut Edges?”
For an additional charge, we can deliver this sheet with smooth cut edges. In doing so, we cut along or on a bridge and may need to round up or down your specified measurements. Please select the corresponding option in the configurator menu:
-
"Round up measurements for closed edge": Your chosen size is the minimum size. Your sheet may be up to 12 mm larger in length and width! Edge widths may vary.
-
"Round down measurements for closed edge": Your chosen size is the maximum size. Your sheet may be up to 12 mm smaller in length and width! Edge widths may vary.
-
"-" (default selection): Precise cut to your specified measurement. We cut your sheets from large panels, regardless of pitch. You may receive randomly cut sheets from the centre with "teeth" on all sides or from the edge. Panel edges are not perforated over a width of approx. 8–14 mm.
How We Cut Your Sheets
Cutting method: Sheets up to and including 10 mm in thickness are cut on our hydraulic guillotine shears. Sheets in 12 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm are laser-cut by a partner – which naturally increases lead time.
Warping: Guillotine cutting may cause smaller sheets to twist slightly. Narrow strips may not lie completely flat on a surface.
Laser-cut sheets may also warp slightly due to heat input (heat distortion). Unfortunately, we cannot prevent or correct this!
Scratches: Due to general handling, both sides of the sheet will show scratches – potentially deep ones. Cutting may also leave circular marks from the sheet holder on the shear.
Production marks are unavoidable, standard in the trade and therefore not grounds for complaint.
Optional: Priority Processing
If you're in a particular hurry, we offer priority handling of your order for an extra fee. This means:
If we receive your prepaid order Monday to Thursday, it will be processed and dispatched within 24 hours. The surcharge-based priority option must be selected in the basket for all items – otherwise the order will not be prioritised!
This service is not available for all items. If your order exceeds our material or staffing capacity, we’ll contact you promptly to find a solution together. For any further questions, feel free to contact us.
Important:
A quick note on rust: These sheet panels are Sendzimir-galvanised, but the holes are punched afterwards. That means corrosion protection is limited on the inner walls of the holes and, of course, on the cut edges. Please keep this in mind if using these sheets in visible or damp environments.
The material has sharp edges. Please ensure you wear suitable protective clothing and gloves during handling! To prevent injury, we recommend framing the sheet or using edge protection tape.
