Steel teardrop plate 3 - 4 mm S235JR

Dimensions: right selectable up to 2000 x 1000 mm (10 mm = 1 cm)
Alloy: S235JR

Thickness: 3 or 4 mm (plus teardrop approx. 1 mm each)

This structural steel sheet can be used for all heavy-duty structures; it is easily weldable using all processes and, of course, is magnetic. Due to its low price and ease of processing, sheet steel has countless applications in mechanical engineering, industry, agriculture, architecture, for the construction of supporting structures, stairs, gate systems, or balconies, in plant engineering, and much more.
The approximately 1 mm high embossing makes the sheets extremely slip-resistant – even when wet, oily, muddy, or otherwise dirty. Teardrop sheets are therefore often used for structures that must be safe to access under all conditions, such as work platforms, walkways, amusement rides, floats, sales trailers, or tractors.
The sheets can be driven over without any problems and are therefore also often used as supports for access ramps, for example, in workshops or for bridges.

With material thicknesses of 3 mm and 4 mm, a load-bearing substructure is often unnecessary, which is why these sheets have been used for decades as manhole covers for pump, inspection, or cable shafts.

S235JR is a typical base steel for mechanical engineering or steel construction. The sheets are hot-rolled, thus having scale on the surface. To protect against corrosion, a surface coating in the form of paints, waxes, oils, powder coatings, or electroplating is required.

Note: Due to cutting with guillotine shears, both sides of the sheet will have scratches. This is unavoidable, normal, and therefore does not constitute grounds for complaint. Thicker sheets and narrow strips will twist slightly during cutting, meaning they will twist/bend. The sheet will therefore not lie completely flat on a smooth surface. We cannot prevent or correct this!
