Cold rolled sheet / steel sheet 1.5 mm (without mill scale) - order cost-effectively from the specialist
Steel sheet with 1.5 mm thickness is ready for use in industrial or artisanal applications. The cold rolled sheet is ideal for repair work on car bodies as a plug weld sheet or for vehicle bodywork, as it is easily weldable with all methods and naturally magnetic.
DC01 is a relatively soft steel and is excellently suited for forming and deep drawing. Cold rolled sheets or cuttings from 1 mm steel of this grade are easy to process. The bare, oiled surface requires no preparation for welding. Steel sheet with 1.5 mm thickness is used not only in the automotive industry for numerous purposes, but also for example in:
- Mechanical engineering
- Shipbuilding
- Vehicle construction
- Agriculture
- Architecture
- Pipe and profile industry
- Enamelling, barrel and construction industry
- Sanitary equipment
- Construction of housings, cabinets, and much more

You will receive our steel sheet 1.5 mm cold rolled and oiled. Other available thicknesses in the cold rolled sheet range are 0.75 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.25 mm, 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm.
Thicker sheets from 3 mm thickness (heavy plates) are available in alloy S235JR. S235JR is a typical base steel for mechanical or structural engineering. These sheets are hot rolled and therefore have mill scale on the surface. Both sheet types quickly develop surface rust when exposed to air. To protect against corrosion, coating with paints, waxes, oils, powder coatings or galvanic processes is necessary.

How we cut your sheets
Cutting method: Sheets up to and including 10 mm thickness are cut on our hydraulic guillotine shears. Sheets of 12 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm thickness are laser cut by a partner – this naturally increases delivery time.
Distortion: Cutting with guillotine shears can cause smaller sheets to twist slightly, meaning narrow strips might not lie completely flat on a perfectly level surface.
Even laser cut sheets can warp slightly due to heat input (thermal distortion). We cannot prevent or correct distortion!
Scratches: Due to normal handling, both sides of the sheet will have scratches, which may be deep. When cut by guillotine shears, your sheet might have circular impressions from the shear hold-down.
Production marks are unfortunately unavoidable, standard practice, and therefore no reason for complaint.
By the way: Have you heard of "baking steel"?
In short: Pizza stones are out, 6 mm steel sheet is in! In our blog post >>From steel to baking steel – how your baking will be a hit<< you will find everything you need to know about this trending topic.
On request: holes drilled according to sketch
We can also drill holes* in your configured workpiece.
Please select the number of holes in the menu. Shortly after completing the purchase, we will automatically send an email requesting a sketch, subject: "Holes for your order: AU ....., order number: .....".
Please read the PDF attached in the email carefully!
Then simply reply to that email with your sketch. We need to clearly see the
position of the hole centre(s) and the
hole diameter.
Without this sketch, your order cannot be started!
* Holes are round. Slots, countersinks or rectangular holes are not possible!
The possible
hole diameter depends on the material thickness:
Material thickness up to 1.25 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm Ø,
Material thickness from 1.5 to 2.5 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm, 8.5 mm, 9 mm, 9.5 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm Ø,
Material thickness from 3 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm, 8.5 mm, 9 mm, 9.5 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 13 mm, 14 mm, 15 mm, 16 mm, 17 mm, 18 mm, 19 mm, 20 mm Ø.
On request: priority processing
If it has to be particularly quick once, we offer priority processing for an extra charge. This means:
If we receive your prepaid order
Monday to Thursday, it will be completed and dispatched within 24 hours. The priority option must be selected for
all items in your shopping cart, otherwise the order will not be processed preferentially!
This service is not available for all items. If your order exceeds our material or personnel capacities, we will contact you immediately to find a solution together. For further questions
please contact us!
Note: Priority processing only available up to 10 mm material thickness!
Notes:
Non-deburred material is sharp-edged. Please wear suitable protective clothing and gloves!
We recommend having the sheets deburred – you can select this affordable additional service on the right in the dropdown menu.
