These ribbed tube inserts are ideal for closing all kinds of square tubes and rectangular tubes, for example on chair legs, table legs, railings, posts, shelves, coat racks and automotive applications.

The flexible ribs provide a secure hold in a wide range of tubes with different wall thicknesses. For easier installation, we recommend slightly chamfering the inner edge of the tube opening at approx. 60°.

Please note: the ribs are partly not continuous. The inserts alone do not provide a liquid-tight seal.

How to order the correct insert

Measure the outside side length of the tube. This is also the required side length of the insert.
Measure the wall thickness of the tube. This should be within the possible wall thickness range of the tube insert.

Example: A typical fence post made from rectangular tube with side dimensions 60 x 40 mm and a wall thickness of 2.0 mm. In this case, you need the order size [60x40x1.0-3.0 mm].

This insert also fits rectangular openings from 54 x 34 mm to 58 x 38 mm.
