These Sendzimir-galvanized steel sheets are ideal for outdoor applications. Once the zinc layer is removed, they are easily weldable using all methods and, of course, magnetic. Due to their low price, ease of processing, and especially their high corrosion resistance, galvanized steel sheets have countless applications in mechanical engineering, industry, shipbuilding, vehicle construction, agriculture, architecture, for the construction of housings, cabinets, and much more. They are also used for roofing in the form of ridge sheets, corrugated sheets, trapezoidal sheets, or drip trays.
DX51D+Z refers to relatively soft steels that are well suited for deep drawing. These sheets are cold-rolled and not greased.
Please note: When cutting the sheets, the zinc coating is damaged at the cut edges. To protect against corrosion, a coating in the form of paint, wax, oil, powder coating, or electroplating is required on the cut edge.
This is how we cut your sheets
Cutting method: Sheets up to and including 10 mm thick are cut on our hydraulic guillotine shears . We have a partner cut sheets in 12 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm thickness using a laser - this naturally increases the delivery time.
Distortion: When cut with guillotine shears, smaller sheets will twist slightly. Narrow sheet strips in particular will not lie completely flat on a completely flat surface.
Laser-cut sheet metal parts can also deform slightly due to the heat input ( heat distortion ). We cannot prevent or correct warping!
Scratches: Due to general handling, both sides of the sheet will have scratches. The scratches can also be deep. When cutting with guillotine shears, your sheet may have circular marks from the sheet hold-down device on the shears.
Production marks are unfortunately unavoidable, standard practice and therefore do not constitute grounds for complaint.
Note:
We recommend having us deburr the sheets immediately. You can select this inexpensive additional service from the dropdown menu on the right.
Non-deburred material has sharp edges. Please remember to wear appropriate protective clothing and gloves!
On request: Drilling according to sketch
We can also drill holes into your configured workpiece*.
Please select the number of holes from the menu. Shortly after your purchase is completed, we will automatically send an email requesting a sketch. Subject: "Drill holes for your order: AU ....., Order number: .....".
Be sure to read the PDF document attached to the email!
Then simply send us your sketch as a reply to this email. We need to be able to clearly identify the position of the hole center(s) and the hole diameter .
Without this sketch, your order cannot be started!
* Holes are circular. Slotted holes, countersinks, or rectangular holes are not possible!
The possible bore diameter depends on the material thickness:
Material thickness up to 1.25 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm Ø,
Material thickness from 1.5 to 2.5 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm, 8.5 mm, 9 mm, 9.5 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm Ø,
Material thickness from 3 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm, 8.5 mm, 9 mm, 9.5 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 13 mm, 14 mm, 15 mm, 16 mm, 17 mm, 18 mm, 19 mm, 20 mm Ø.
On request: Priority processing
If you need it particularly quickly, we offer priority processing for an additional charge. This means: If
we receive your prepaid order Monday through Thursday , it will be completed and shipped within 24 hours.
