Copper Z Profile with Back Edge – Custom Made Copper Z Section
Our copper Z profile with back edge is a custom-made metal profile for decorative, architectural and fabrication applications.
Also known as a copper Z section with back edge, this profile is ideal for stepped transitions, cover details, edge finishes and visible copper design elements.
The additional back edge provides a cleaner finish, improves edge stability and creates a more defined profile shape.
This makes the profile especially useful when an exposed edge needs to be covered neatly or when a more finished appearance is required.
What is a copper Z profile with back edge?
A copper Z profile is a formed metal profile with a Z-shaped cross section.
The added back edge is an extra folded rear edge that helps create a cleaner, more stable and visually finished profile.
This profile shape is especially useful when two different surface levels need to be connected, covered or visually separated with a high-quality copper finish.

Combined with copper, the profile becomes both functional and decorative.
The natural copper surface gives the product a premium look and can develop a unique patina over time.

On request: Drilling according to sketch
We can also add drill holes to your configured workpiece*. Please select the number of drill holes in the menu. Shortly after completing your purchase, we will automatically send you an email requesting a sketch. Subject: "Drill holes for your order: AU …., Order number: ....."
Please make sure to read the PDF document attached to the email!
Simply reply to the email with your sketch attached. We must be able to clearly identify the position of the hole centre(s) and the hole diameter. Without this sketch, your order cannot be processed.
* Drill holes are always circular. Slotted holes, countersinks or rectangular cut-outs are not possible!
The possible hole diameter depends on the material thickness:
- Material thickness up to 1.25 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm Ø
- Material thickness from 1.5 to 2.5 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm, 8.5 mm, 9 mm, 9.5 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm Ø
- Material thickness from 3 mm: 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 7.5 mm, 8 mm, 8.5 mm, 9 mm, 9.5 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 13 mm, 14 mm, 15 mm, 16 mm, 17 mm, 18 mm, 19 mm, 20 mm Ø
How we cut your sheets
Cutting method: Sheets up to and including 10 mm thickness are cut on our hydraulic guillotine shears. Sheets in 12 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm thickness are laser cut by a partner company, which naturally increases delivery time.
Warping: Due to the cutting process with guillotine shears, smaller sheets may slightly twist or warp. Narrow strips in particular may not lie perfectly flat on an absolutely level surface. The narrower the strip and the thicker the sheet, the stronger this effect becomes. As an alternative, our flat bar products may be more suitable for certain applications.
Even laser-cut sheets may slightly deform due to heat input during the cutting process. Warping cannot be prevented or corrected.
Scratches: Due to general handling and processing, both sides of the sheet may show scratches, including deeper marks. When cut on guillotine shears, circular pressure marks from the sheet hold-down device may also appear.
Production marks are unavoidable, industry standard and therefore do not constitute grounds for complaint.
